Describe your perfect day?
A cup of green tea, a competitive game of pickleball with my partner, a 90-minute massage, hanging out with friends at a coffee shop, capped with an organic, local dinner with my family and our two dogs beneath our feet.
What do you most like about your job?
I am equally passionate about making sure clients take all the tax deductions they’re allowed (no, really!) as I am about helping clients remove any financial obstacles that keep them from living the life they want.
Surprise us, something we don’t know about you?
I spent three months in Zululand, South Africa, monitoring endangered and incidental priority species like rhinos, lions, leopards, and elephants. The highlight was tracking African Wild Dogs using telemetry out of the back of a pickup truck.
How long have you worked in Financial Services?
14+ years
Meet with Christine
B.S. in Finance from Virginia Tech
CFP® certification
Income Tax, Retirement Planning, Budgeting
Christine formerly led a team of CFP® practitioners to create and deliver financial plans for a DC-based firm. With over fourteen years of experience, she’s served in numerous roles, including a Resident in Financial Planning, Client Advisor, and adjunct professor at her alma mater, Virginia Tech.
Before joining Domain Money, Christine served as a Senior Financial Planner and led a team of CFP® practitioners to create and deliver financial plans for a DC-based firm. Before that, she worked in Vienna, VA, for a $1 billion financial planning firm where she managed 70 client relationships for high-net-worth families. She got her start as a Financial Planning Resident in Minneapolis, MN, where she participated in over 1,200 client meetings and consulted with firms across the country as they worked with her to establish ‘best practices’ for their own residency programs. Other career highlights include developing exam questions for future use on CFP® exams, being named to Investment News’ Top 40 under 40 list, and returning to her alma mater to teach financial planning as an adjunct professor.Outside of the office and classroom, she believes giving back to her community is important. She’s volunteered to prepare tax returns for low-income individuals, helped sight-impaired elderly individuals read their mail and pay bills, and served as a Board member for the National Capital Area FPA chapter. Christine also loves doing nose work and agility training with her two dogs, Izzy and Finn, playing pickleball, and she recently jumped on the romantasy novel bandwagon.
